OOTD – 11/17/2017

Happy Friday!! I’ve had a day full of classes (statistics, anatomy and physiology, and sociology) and trying to be an adult by setting up eye and dental appointments. I’ve got my planner spread out all over the island with my class, exam, and work schedules labelled in an attempt to get appointments that work with my schedule. Word to the wise: don’t procrastinate on scheduling these. It’ll bite ya in the butt. I got both scheduled (thank God), but it was more of an ordeal than I thought it would be. Ugh the problems of being a #organizationqueen but also […]

Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

I’m basically in full blown Christmas mode at this point. I’m hauling out the holly and ready to put up the tree before my spirit falls again. (See what I did there??) But in all seriousness, I love the holiday season. I am shamelessly listening to the Christmas radio station on my commute to school each morning. And when I’m driving to work. And to hang out with friends. Okay, so basically all the time. For me, after Halloween everything is one big long party. We get to go out and celebrate Halloween, then two days later I have my […]

August Style: Summer Weekends

I’ve been trying to spend the past few weeks outside, soaking up as much of the August sun I can. Whether that’s been at the Coast Guard Festival, on the East side of the state with family, or just in my own backyard, I’ve been savoring each moment this summer. With just a couple weeks left leading up to my first semester of sophomore year, I’ve been one busy bee! (Which is one of the main reasons I haven’t been able to post as often – I’m working on it, I pinky promise!) Thank goodness I’ve ordered my agenda, because […]

Lake Day with Lake Effect Co.

This post is dedicated to my fellow lake babies. To the people who have heard their parents lecture them about the rip current and still went out to swim anyways. (Sorry Mom!!) To those who can paddle board, wake board, skim board, surf board, and do basically anything that ends in board. To the ones who know where to go that the tourists who come to visit don’t. To those who feel just as comfortable behind the wheel of the boat as they do the wheel of a car. To the ones who were fine with jumping into the water […]

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale: Favorites Under $60

Nordstrom’s annual anniversary sale opened to the general public this past weekend and boy are there some great deals!! If you aren’t familiar with the sale, in the summer they will release fall items and put them on sale before the season. That’s right – before!! As I scrolled through the pages of sale items I picked out a couple that I really liked and that I think you will too. Best part is, all are under $60 and all of these are shop-able links, so if you like what you see, you don’t need to scour Nordstrom for […]

Greek Life Jewelry

Happy Thursday!! I apologize for not writing for a little bit there, I have been so busy and wasn’t feeling particularly inspired, so I wasn’t going to write half-hearted pieces just for the sake of producing content. After thinking about what I want to write in the coming weeks, I realized that a lot of high school seniors (now college freshman) will end up rushing and going through sorority recruitment, so I wanted to share my own perspective and tips in an upcoming mini “sorority series” if you will. I’m super excited to share my own experiences with everyone and […]

Brunchin’ and Beachin’

Hey everyone and Happy Thursday!! Like you know, my friend Audrey came to visit for the 4th of July. Sadly, she had to leave yesterday, but I made sure she had a really great send off for her last day here. I love showing friends and family around my new home and exploring the areas surrounding me with them. After staying up pretty late the night before, we started our morning off with a stop at the local coffee shop. Audrey actually collects coffee cup sleeves from all the places she travels, so I knew we had to stop at […]

Patriotic Pajamas, Fireworks, And A 4th of July Recap

Happy late 4th of July!! Typically, each year we have family come into town, but this year we got a new addition to the family on July 3rd, so plans couldn’t come together. (Welcome to the world Valory Constance!!) I was super lucky, however, that one of my closest friends, Audrey, could come and spend a few days with us. Before Audrey was here, I had gone shopping with my mom and picked up some new clothes and what would eventually become my fourth outfit! While out, I also got a super comfy pair of pajamas from Tommy Hilfiger. They’re […]

National Sunglasses Day Inspo

Happy National Sunglasses Day🕶️ I’ll be honest, I didn’t know this was a day until just recently, when I saw a brand using the day to promote and sell their sunglasses. There is seriously a national holiday for everything now, I swear!! Recently, I’ve been wearing a more fun pair of sunglasses from Francesca’s. They’re inexpensive and play on the cat eye style that’s grown in popularity. I’m pretty sure that I linked the correct color, but there are lighter and darker shades that accompany that specific style so I could be a little off. Some other cat eye sunglasses, that […]

Fourth of July Outfit Ideas

I absolutely love the 4th of July. The watermelon stacked so perfectly on red, white, and blue plates. The smell of fireworks and grilling in the air. The sounds of everyone laughing and enjoying the day. It’s seriously the best. While I’m not entirely sure what we have planned for the most American holiday just yet, I’m hoping that my friend Audrey is coming into town to spend it with us. Audrey’s previously spent a 4th with my family and it’s always a lot of fun. She’s been there for night swimming, sparklers, and a lot of ice cream eating. […]
